Winter time is a busy time at Spring Creek Elementary.  We appreciate families letting us know if their child will be absent.  It really helps keep kids safe when we know ahead of time they will not be at school for the day.

Many of you have probably noticed the construction fencing that has gone up on the west side field outside of the cafeteria.  Spring Creek is getting a covered play area that should be completed by the end of summer.  It will really be a great addition and will allow some of our kids to be able to play outside even when it is raining steadily.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day is on Monday, January 19th.  There will be no school on Monday!

Our PTO is putting on a Bingo Night from 6-8 pm at the Spring Creek Gym on Friday, January 23.  We had a huge turnout last year, but we do not have enough volunteers at this time.  Please reach out if you are available to help, even if it is only for a short time.

Spring Creek is hosting a Google Meet on Tuesday, January 20th, to talk to families about the School Choice Process.  If you know of any families who might be interested in Spring Creek or if you know any families with kindergarten aged kids, please let them know.  They can always call us for more information as well.

I am happy to report that Nathan Westerby has returned as our P.E. teacher. We are excited to have him back!

On Tuesday of next week, we will be communicating with the fourth and fifth grade students who chose to apply to be AVID Ambassadors. There will be some very happy kids and some disappointed ones.  If your child applied, you might consider touching base with them about the process.  It might support them in handling disappointment as well as being a gracious winner.
